Who are we?Plum Village Community of Engaged Buddhism offers mindful teachings and practice of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. We are a part of the Plum Village Community of Engaged Buddhism, Inc. (PVCEB), a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization incorporated in the United States dedicated to support the teachings of the Thich Nhat Hanh Plum Village tradition. Our monastery is located at 2499 Melru Lane, Escondido, California, 92026, United States.
How do we collect information from you?We obtain information about you when visit our website, sign up to receive our email newsletter, register for an event offered by Plum Village Community of Engaged Buddhism, program, or initiative, place an order, or contact us through the website or email.
What type of information is collected from you?The personal information we collect might include your name, address, email address, which retreats you have attended, donations made, if you have volunteered with us, IP address, and information regarding what pages are accessed and when. If you make a donation online or book a retreat with us, your banking information is not held by us, it is collected by our third party payment processors, who specialise in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions, as explained below.

Any sensitive information (such as credit or debit card details) is encrypted and protected with the following software 128 Bit encryption on SSL. When you are on a secure page, a lock icon will appear on the bottom of web browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer. Non-sensitive details (your email address etc.) are transmitted normally over the internet, and this can never be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your information, we make our best effort to ensure its security in our systems.
